The New Israel - A Domination Player Of The World

Israel is never addressed as New Israel or Old Israel. It is always referred to as the State of Israel or just Israel. However, for the purposes of our topic we will address Israel as New Israel. When it comes to modern politics it is one of the youngest nations in the world, however, when looked at from the perspective of Jews and their homeland; then it is quite possibly one of the oldest nations in the World.

The History - Old and New

If history is to be believed, then it was in 70 A.D that the kingdom of Israel was attacked by the Romans. The Kingdom of Israel even at that point of time was inhabited by Jews and people of various other religions.

However, New Israel came into being as early as 1948. History suggests that it was King Saul who was responsible for the creation of the Kingdom of Israel and his legacy was carried forward by his successors, namely David and Solomon.

Conflict of the Old World

The conflict that New Israel has faced over the years has its etchings in the past. The Hebrew State populated by the Jews, was resented by its neighbors who were Arabs, who did not want a Jewish State on their Homeland. The beginning of the persecution of Jews and their expulsion from their homeland took place when the Romans attacked the Kingdom of Israel in 70 A.D. It was the religious bonds of the Jews that helped them stay connected and which finally resulted in the formation of the State of Israel or New Israel in 1948. However, the old enmity and problems regarding the relations of the Arab State with Israel remained and remain to this day.

A Giant Player

Jews have always been known for their fortitude and the creation of New Israel and the establishment of its rightful place in World History underscores this fact with aplomb. Slowly and surely post the creation of New Israel, the people of Israel namely Jews, made their presence felt in world politics especially the politics of the Middle East. There have been heated clashes between the Israeli Jews and the Palestinian Arabs over territorial issues over the years.

Religious Minority Does Not Make A Difference

New Israel, its relatively new status as a Country and the fact that Jews are in a minority in the Middle East region has made no difference to its attitude. New Israel, since its inception has been a dominant figure in the region and a large part of this achievement is a result of the support from the United States. This support is in the form of financial, military, and diplomatic aid. The Jewish diaspora in the United States is quite affluent and do everything they can to help New Israel.

New Israel and Jews are both looked up to and criticized in the same breath. This is on account of their foreign policy, which is not generally appreciated by a number of countries of the world. However, there is no doubt that it is this foreign policy and effort of the people of Israel, largely Jews that has seen it becoming a force to reckon with in the world.
