Tel Aviv is the second largest City in Israel and is a bustling metropolis situated on the Israeli Mediterranean coastline. The governing of the city is undertaken by the municipality of Aviv-Yafo. Tel Israel has a cultural fabric that is cosmopolitan as a result of its multi-religious identity with Jews, Muslims, and Christians etc being an integral part of the religious population of the City.

The Founding

Israel Aviv or Tel Aviv was founded in 1909. The land on the outskirts of the Jaffa, an ancient port City, was earmarked for the construction of the City. In just a short span of time, the development of Tel Aviv outpaced the development of Jaffa.

The port City during this time had a largely Arab population. In 1950, Jaffa and the City of Tel Aviv were integrated into a single municipality. The White City, which is a part of Tel Aviv or Israel Aviv has one of the world's largest concentrations of Modernist Style Building and was thus, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 2003.

Tel Israel - The Economic Hub

One could call Tel Aviv, Israel's richest city and Israel Aviv is definitely a City to be proud of, for the Jews, and Arabs alike. It is home to the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange and numerous corporate organizations, major businesses have made their home in the City of Tel Israel. It is also a great tourist destination, and its bars, pubs, beaches, up-market shopping options, and a cosmopolitan lifestyle sees Israel Aviv attracting numerous tourists all the year round. The City has earned the apt sobriquet of "Mediterranean City that never sleeps". Tel Israel is not only an economic hub but also the cultural capital of the State of Israel. Here, you will experience the sublime intermingling of Jewish, Arab, and Christian culture, which is reflected in its performing arts. Israel Aviv also has another economic distinction. Tel Israel or Tel Aviv is one of the most expensive cities in the World, as far as cost of living is concerned.

The Religion of Tel Israel

Tel Aviv is a secular City, however, there are hundreds of synagogues that dot this City of Israel Aviv and many of them are historical landmarks. Take for example the Great Synagogue that was built in the year 1930 in Tel Israel. Over time, Israel Aviv has definitely embraced its secular identity by not only opening a center for Jewish Studies but also for other sects as well. Another famous landmark of Tel Israel is the Hassan Bek Mosque. The region of Israel Aviv, especially Jaffa has a sizable Christian and Muslim population.
